Chief Superintendent Yoram P. Lavon has retired from the Israel police (2013) after serving as the Crisis Negotiation Unit commander (2009-2013). He was with the Israel National Police for the last 20 years as a crisis manager and crisis negotiator
He’s worked as a crisis manager and crisis negotiator on hundreds of National, Terror, Criminal, Domestic and new media crises. Those crises involved: Hostage taking, Suicide bombers, Kidnappings, Civil riots & massive suicide attempts, Barricading, Suicides attempts, Hunger strikes at prison, Cults, Missing soldiers and many others. He is also an expert in psychological profiling and Polygraph.
Mr. Lavon has a master degree in Psychology and was qualified as a negotiator by the FBI course in Quantico and by the New Scotland Yard course in Hendon.
Yoram shares his experience by giving courses and lectures all over the world (West and Eastern Europe, North and South America, Australia, Singapore and more). He is an expert in crisis management, crisis negotiation, profiling, cognitive interview and polygraph. Today he is also teaching Operational Psychology in the Academy.
